Wupzey, a giveaway!

***WINNER PICKED 3/27 WITH RANDOM.ORG*** ***CONGRATULATIONS, maryjanyne (non-blogger)!!!***
her comment: I love the Jade Green... and my toddler loves to throw his easter ham... he gets his mashed potatoes everywhere too.. and dont get me started on the corn and peas...

Please email me from the link on my sidebar with your mailing address,
so I can send it out to you ASAP!

The Wupzey is a simple solution to an age-old problem: kids who can't keep food on their highchair trays. It's essentially a cloth pocket that spans the area between the bottom of the tray and the footrest to catch the mealtime fallout. The whole thing comes off easily (it attaches with Velcro) and can be emptied or simply tossed in the washer. It's very durable, lightweight and hard to destroy, made of the same type of ripstop nylon as LeSportSac bags. Plus it comes in a bunch of cute colors and at $19.95, it's affordable enough to buy more than one to switch out. I love these sophisticated stripes:

Unfortunately, our high chair doesn't have a footrest, so we weren't able to review the Wupzey we received. (Apparently, they are working on a new version that doesn't require a footrest, so hopefully I'll be able to test it out one of these days!) It's the lovely Jade Green version– my favorite color:

If you have a baby who is self-feeding and a little bit messy, the Wupzey may be your new best friend!

To enter and win the Jade Green Wupzey, please comment on this post with your messy eater's story and your favorite Wupzey color! Entries will be accepted through March 26th and I'll pick the winner using Random.org.

I will ship anywhere for the sake of Bloggy fun, so please enter, wherever you may live. Only one entry/comment per person, please.

Make sure you leave an email address in your comment or that you have one accessible on your blog so you can be contacted if you win!

Or, you may choose to check for your nickname at Prizey.Fetch, a new site that compiles winners in one convenient place:

  1. My messy eater has just started eating teething biscuits. Oh my - I forgot how messy these things were. Not only is he covered head to toe in biscuit but all the pieces are all over the chair and floor!

My favorite color is the Jade Green but to "prove" I went to the site, the Cocoa Brown one would actually match Jake's high chair.

  2. My daughter loves cheerios and they get everywhere when she eats! i think i spend more time picking up random cheerios than feeding her.

I love the new striped wupzey. been trying to get my hands on one of theses for a while.

  4. My son is a year old now and self-feeding. I so need this! He was trying to eat cereal last night and as he was chewing, it fell out of his mouth and onto his lap and eventually on the floor! Also, he loves drinking milk from a cup by himself but ALWAYS manages to dribble it all over the place...

I love the Jade green version!

  5. I like the cranberry, jade green, and striped. I can't decide between them. I'd like a more neutral one so I can use it for all my kids.
My daughter always seems to get food in the strangest places. She's fifteen months now and has ALWAYS self fed (she hated baby food and would gag) so you can imagine the messes... although they're not as bad as baby food messes lol as I've learned from my nieces and nephews. She has just learned how funny it is to throw her food. So maybe a wupzey would make clean up time easier for mommy. :)

  6. Both the cranberry and the jade green would go well with our decor - so important in a messy high chair, don't you think?

My daughter LOVES to toss food, drop food, whatever. Her favorite thing to do? Say "uh-oh!" as she drops her little bombs overboard.

  10. I love the Jade Green! Both my kids have the habit of throwing anything on the floor if they are full or just don't want to eat it. It is getting old!

  11. Love pink Hawaiian is my favorite, but the one your giving away is more pratical.

  12. My daughter is two and a half and has always been a pretty neat eater until recently. Must be terrible 2s or something! When we were at her grandparents for a birthday party 2 weeks ago, she fingerpainted her soup all over her highchair, her face, arms, hair, and even got some in her ears! Since then, I've caught her painting numerous foods like yougurt and pudding at home on the kitchen table and then she'll try to lick it up like she's a dog!

The Wupzey looks great. I like the blue hawaiian flower print. I don't think it will help much with my daughter's messes, but we have another munchkin that I'll be looking forward to messy eating with in a few months. The green would match out highchair really well.

  13. My son loves to "fingerpaint" with his food! And baby drop/mommy pick up is his favorite game! LOL!
Love the jade Green and Cocoa Brown!

  15. What a great product idea! I'm getting really tired of vacuuming piles of crumbs and gooky food off the floor every day. Cranberry is my favorite color.

  16. My babe is just 4 months, but he manages to be very messy nonetheless! He loves to be carried facing forward and then spit up all over the house -- all carpeted. Love the jade green.

  17. our son isn't born yet (a week away at this point) but this seems like a great idea, the dogs are going to be disappointed.

  21. Hello!

My messy eater...I will fill up his tray with cut-up chicken, cooked carrots, some peas, whole wheat bread--- and then continue cleaning up the kitchen while he feeds himself---we are singing and talking and when I'm done cleaning the dishes I look over at his tray and say, "WHAT A GREAT EATER YOU ARE KELAN! ALL your food is gone!!!" Then I wipe his hands and mouth, remove the tray and low and behold; all the food comes tumbling down onto the floor!

The Jade Green is a great color!

    Save my sanity! :)

    Thank YOU!!

    Beth

  22. My son has a habit of taking food off his plate or tray and intentionally throwing it into the seat if he doesn't like what I've given him or if he's just being silly, so this would be perfect!

My favorite is the jade green or the cocoa brown.

  23. we are foster parents, so we have at least 2 high chairs going at once. I'm afraid my messy kid stories would fill a book. Let's just say I spent a great deal of time cleaning floors and high chairs that could better be spent on something else!
and what a great idea is this!!

  24. The pink Hawaiian is pretty cute!
We need this to protect our wood floors from all the food items that fall to the floor.

    ReplyDelete
  25. boy if this isn't a great idea i don't know what is. The blue hawaiian flower print is awsome

  26. First, I like the pink hawaiian print. My 1 year old just started really self-feeding. This week she had spaghetti for the first time. We luckily stripped her down to a diaper before we started. She had more on the floor and in teh chair than anywhere else. She had to have a bath soon afterwards as there was literally sauce from head to toe, in her hair, covering her cheeks, up her arms and down her legs. It only gets more interesting with time.

    ReplyDelete
  27. We were just told our twins can start solids... but i KNOW i will need this soon... lol

    ReplyDelete
  28. My daughter's favorite past-time is making sure most of her food hits the floor! Yay for being one! I also love the Jade- such a pretty color!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm glad I hav edogs to help in the clean up with our daughters mess. She loves to smear and spread all of her food. She gets more on the floor then in herself. lol. I like the navy colored wupzey. Thanks for the giveaway.

  30. It never fails, after my little one eats, she needs a bath and the floors need mopped!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Like most parents of youngsters... we spend a lot of time wiping up the floor since our little one puts half of the food in his mouth and half circling him on the floor. Usually, I don't bother with it, I just clean it up afterwards since he still has a while to get the whole cause and effect thing down!
    Thanks,
    Marissa :)

  33. Hmmm... Looks like I'm the only one who LOVES the Saphire Blue! That's ok, cause I don't really have a great story about my lil messy eater. She just shoves the food off her tray when she gets full. It's really funny, but nothing surprising about that, right?

Thank you so much for the awesome giveaway, and for the opportunity to enter! Love to you and yours, take care and God Bless!

  42. I like 'pretty in pink' for my little princess. She is using utensils now, but for some reason still hasn't gotten the spoon positioning right. She turns it upside down to put it in her mouth. Obviously this is an inefficient and messy way to eat!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I am one of those parents who tries really hard to follow the "attachment parenting" style of parenting. One of the things we wanted to do is make our own baby food (yeah righ! haha). So when we first introduced solids my husband bought the organic peas, cooked them, pureed them and then we sat down to give them to our little munchkin for the first time (he had only been eating cereal at that point). Not only did he make the cutest and funniest faces, he managed to get peas EVERYWHERE! In his eyes, his nose, his hair, his ears, on the floor, on us. It was quite the mess. Needless to say, we don't have the energy, time, or patience to actually make baby food and he prefers the store bought stuff anyway. So much for a natural!

    I really like the navy!

  44. My new grandbaby will need this sooner or later.
Would make a great gift to them.
Would save my son and daughter in law cleanup.

  45. I love the blue Hawaiian. Could have used this last night. My granddaughter LOVES to tease us with her food. You know, offer us a bite, take it away, back and forth. Until...yeah, let's see how far away I can throw it. I forgot how much fun picking up all that food off the carpet is. ;)

  49. This is an awesome idea! My daughter ate some crackers in her high chair, which always end up everywhere! I got her out and was carrying her around and doing stuff and as I was carrying her to change her a whole ritz cracker fell out of somewhere! Then, I found another whole one in her diaper!

  51. I love the blue hawaiian cover. Such a great idea! I have pics of all my kids with messy faces. One of my faves, is of my 4 year old, when he was about 18 months old. We gave him a piece of red velvet cake & he went to town on it! lol He made such a mess, but I love the pics we have to remember it by.

  54. I just love the sapphire blue one. With little twins who just began to eat solids I'm sure I'll have quite the stories to tell soon.

My son used to smash his food on the tray and then shove it as far away from himself as possible which usually meant it would go right off the tray onto the floor. Picture the applesauce trail from the back of the tray to the front to the floor.

  60. My toddler leaves a little circle of food all around her high chair on the floor. I wish I had a dog to help "clean up" her messes! Sometimes it is so hilarious--it is so messy you would think I just dumped a bunch of food on the floor. My favorite color is the striped one. So pretty! We could REALLY use the Wupzey at our house. It would be well loved!
