My sicko husband

Bob's had a rough couple of weeks. First, he nearly slices off a finger with a carving knife (sort of an occupational hazard of the woodworking artist) and has to get stitches and keep it splinted. Then last night he felt sick at dinnertime and it rapidly escalated. I assumed food poisoning but it kept getting worse so we ended up going to the ER around 11pm. Turns out he had onset appendicitis and they rushed him into surgery around 5am. Yikes.

Anyway, I haven't slept in about 24 hours and I am so tired my eyes are crossing. But the kids are both asleep and I think I will be soon, too. And hopefully Bob is, too, in the hospital. Poor daddy.

I've heard so many tails of folks getting post op infections, so please be careful about that.

    Poor Bob. Get better soon!
