Parent Teacher Conference

We had our first official parent-teacher conference today at Roo's new Montessori preschool. I was sort of dreading it because she's been very argumentative at home and more rambunctious than usual. It's hard to believe, right?

Amazingly, both of her teachers said she's adapted to the Montessori classroom brilliantly. They said she loves to learn about anything and everything. (I knew that.) They said she had a gift for language. (I knew that.) They said she was obedient and listened to direction well. (Really? Without arguing?) They said she was kind to the other students and was sort of a leader in the classroom, with the other kids vying to sit next to her. (What? My kid?!) We were pretty proud of the little stinker.

Jasper liked big sister's classroom, too, and tried to see how fast he could crawl from one end to the other. Pretty frighteningly fast.

  1. I learned that Jojo cries when he isn't first in line for French class. That was my enlightening Montessori Teacher Conference. I like yours better!
