Bob and I are going up to Chicago tomorrow, driving his paintings up to his gallery. The kids are staying at my mom's. I have never left Jasper (the only time I've been away from Roo for more than a day was when Bob took her to West Virginia for a week last Spring) and this could very well be cold turkey weaning. I already feel like crying and it's only been an hour. Thanks, PMS and crazy mommy hormones…
I have been meaning to tell you, I read a tip that I haven't tried yet: adding a little vanilla extract and cinnamon to regular milk reportedly makes it taste like breast milk. Try it for Jasp!
ReplyDeleteI hope he (and you!) does ok! How long will you be in Chicago?

I know....but when you get back , you'll be all refreshed and ready to go at it!
ReplyDeleteI started to say catch up on rest but maybe not...it will be good for Bob and you to get away like young lovers.
lol.
Jasper and Roo will learn a lesson; Mom and Dad always come back.
I really feel for you! I'm leaving in a couple months to visit my parents in Germany for 10 days and I've never left my little ones for more than a night. I've already cried about it a few times, so I'm hoping I hold up ok while I'm there. Good luck to you-I'm sure you'll be fine! :)
ReplyDeleteHope things are going well! We've been thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteOh, just think how excited you'll be to come back to your babies. Hope you guys have a great trip! Go Bob!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip.....I had never heard Candice's tip, but it sounds like a great one......can't wait to hear all about it.
ReplyDeleteI miss you...Yoo Hoo....Naomi....
ReplyDeleteEven though the kids can drive us crazy at times, it's always a sad feeling when we have to leave even for a little while.
ReplyDeleteAw, I know the feeling. I can't even handle two hours away from my son for date night. I hope you have a great trip though!
ReplyDeleteKaila left for the wekend and I also feel like crying. Crazy Mommies we are!
