Making Life Better

Making Life Better is a website that seeks to do just what it says. It's the consumer site for the Unilever family of companies, makers of everything from Axe products to Vaseline and Slim-Fast, as well as many of your favorite food brands such as Hellmann's, Bertolli, Ben & Jerry's, Knorr, Ragu, Wishbone, and more.

Making Life Better features a wealth of information for almost every aspect of your home life. My favorite part of the site is the comprehensive Food and Recipes section. They have tons of great ideas, including full menus and individual recipes. Right now, there are a ton of featured Easter and Passover suggestions that look absolutely delicious. Country Breakfast Benedict (pictured) or Matzo Brei for brunch? Yum!

Making Life Better also breaks down the estimated cost per recipe and cost per serving, which is an unusual but very helpful feature. How many times have you tried a new recipe only to find that the ingredients make it ridiculously expensive to serve?! It's one of my pet peeves.

Watch your local newspapers this Sunday, April 5th. Unilever will be offering a coupon that will allow you to get up to $20 back on your ham or turkey purchase by mail when you buy $40 in Unilever products during the month of April. Which you would probably be doing anyway…

Thanks to Mom Central for letting me know about Making Life Better!

  1. I had no idea that a ham costs so much that you could get $20 back on it. Just goes to show how many hams I've eaten (or cooked) in my life.
