Stand Up And Be Counted

Genius Products and Sesame Workshop have teamed with Amazon to allow fans to take a stroll down “Sesame” lane and vote for their favorite classic Sesame Street clip to be included in a DVD compilation due out later this year! Beginning April 1st, fans can view 10 clips from some of the series’ best classic episodes and vote for their favorite one. The clip with the most votes by April 28th will be featured in the Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days DVD, slated for release in November 2009, from Genius Products and Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organization behind Sesame Street.

I'm probably dating myself, but I voted for #6: "What's The Name of That Song" because it just looks and sounds like my childhood… although #1: "Alligator King" is still entrenched in my memory, too. Which one is your favorite?

  1. I shall need to check this out. I have not watched Sesame Street since the very, very early 70s.

  2. I voted for Super Pinball because we all sing that song around here way too often. I wish they had this random clip, it was a grandmother talking to her parrot. She said "Hola Kooka!" and the parrot repeated it back. We've called Mona "Kooka" ever since! I've never been able to find it on YouTube or anywhere.
