Toys from Babeland

The following review/giveaway is for adult eyes only because it involves sex. Mommy and daddy sex. (Everyone under 18 just clicked away, right?) No super explicit stuff here but the links might contain NSFW content. Consider yourself warned.

Babeland has been a women-friendly island in a sea of sex toy merchants since they opened their first retail shop in Seattle in 1993. It was next door to the art gallery owned by a couple of good friends, so we spent an awful lot of time perusing their wares. Now Babeland makes things even easier with their one-stop online shop which features all of their inventory and wealth of staff knowledge (I love their demo videos), along with customer ratings and reviews and informative articles that promote sexuality among both genders. As a bonus, all new Staff Picks are always 20% off!

Babeland sent me a couple of things to try out. First up, the Divine Vibe, a shiny plastic vibrator that features a unique bend to better access your g-spot.

The Divine Vibe has three intensity levels and a pretty powerful motor, which may or may not be your thing. It's also a bit loud and buzzy. Overall, it's a very efficient vibrator and totally waterproof, which makes for easy clean up.

The other item I received from Babeland is totally unlike anything I've ever tried. The Smart Balls Teneo is a silicone ball-on-a-string intended to strengthen the pubococcygeal muscle, which is supposed to heighten orgasm and sexual endurance. It's also very important for child-bearing women, since that's the muscle that stretches out to let the baby pop on out. You know, the one that is supposed to keep you from peeing when you laugh…

The Smart Ball Teneo is meant to be inserted so you can, uh, grip it and practice holding it in and perhaps even spin it around. There is a ball inside that you can feel the weight of, which makes for an interesting sensation, especially as you move around ordinarily and when doing aerobic exercise. It's not necessarily a feeling I would think of as sexual but apparently some people are really aroused by it. It's a great way to get your kegels in, for sure, especially if you're paranoid about incontinence. (Pregnant women should consult a doctor before inserting anything vaginally, obviously.)
