My favorite item is the boy's airplane shirt. It's very cute.




Chipoupine is a whimsical collection of kids' clothing designed and handmade in France. Designed for boys and girls, Chipoupine clothes are beautiful but not precious. They're made for rough play, not just for looking good, although they obviously do that, too! I think they have a kind of bohemian '70s charm with gorgeous folksy prints and colorblocked knee patches. You could definitely call the Chipoupine look Dr. Zhivago meets Toughskins…



As much as I love Chipoupine's gender neutral looks, I especially love their girly gauzy print skirts and tunics. Layer them with long johns and leggings in cooler months and over bathing suits in summertime. I wish they came in my size…

Chipoupine sizing is generous and most garments will last your child through several seasons. Here is an overview:

Size 1 = 81 cm / 32 inches (1 to 2 years)

Size 2 = 97 cm / 38 inches (2 to 3 years)

Size 3 = 107 cm / 42 inches (4 to 5 years)

Size 4 = 116 cm / 45 1/2 inches (6 to 7 years)



We received two super snuggly Teddy sweaters, which are made from unbelievably soft furry microfiber and lined with a cotton print. Roo could wear her size 4 and Jasper's size 2! (She tried to keep both for herself but I intervened!) The Teddy is very lightweight but ultra warm when layered over shirts or under coats and also very breathable, so it can be worn instead of a jacket in springtime or on cooler summer nights. I can't believe it but they actually get even softer after washing. They make hugging your kids like snuggling with a baby blanket or favorite plush toy. And our cats like sleeping on them, too…
