It's super-duper freezing cold today. Snow has been falling all day and schools will most likely be cancelled tomorrow, to the delight of children and groans of parents. The kids built a snowman. I am cowering inside because I do. not. do. well. in. the. cold. Brrr!
One of the things I despise most about cold weather is getting dressed properly for it. I hate piling on layers of clothing, bundling up with bulky coats and trying to find hats and gloves and scarves that might possibly match. You're turned into a gigantic human pillow, hermetically sealed from the world around you. Unless you've got a Twitten.
The Twitten is, essentially, a mitten made for two. It allows you to hold hands with your kids or paramour while staying safely bundled up for the inclement weather. It's available in a whole host of great colors and patterns. I'm partial to the stripes.
For those of you who don't want to be all touchy-feely, they also offer standard mittens, texting mittens with fold-back paws, texting gloves with fold-back thumbs and fingers, hats, scarves, legwarmers and fingerless gloves. My very most favorite design is the charcoal grey embroidered fingerless gloves, which totally shout "boho-glam upscale hobo."
The Twitten folks sent me a pair of purple flower-embellished mittens that are very nice quality, indeed, but much more Roo in style and color. I made her model them for you:
If I was kitted out with the proper cold weather gear, maybe I'd like winter more. I think I need a special Twitten to wear with Jasper, too!
