Varekai by Cirque du Soleil Giveaway

If you've never been to a Cirque du Soleil performance, you really should sometime. Trust me, I am a massive cynic about hyped up stage shows, but the combination of daring acrobatics, garish colors, and all-around spectacle must be seen to be believed.

The newest Cirque du Soleil touring show, Varekai, will be stopping in Wichita this month. Its plot is loosely based on the myth of Icarus, who flew too close to the sun. Instead of perishing in flames, Varekai's Icarus falls back to a magical world where anything is possible and destiny can be recreated through imagination.



Roo has been obsessed with gymnastics lately and I know it will inspire her. Unlike his big sister, Jasper has never been to a Cirque du Soleil show, so I am especially excited to see his reaction to the opulent world of Varekai.

Cirque du Soleil is touring throughout the country and Varekai will have seven shows at INtrust Bank Arena in Wichita January 14-18, with kids' tickets starting at just $25.
