Jasper's first birthday is looming in July so I could use some party ideas. In Hawaii, where I grew up, there's usually a first birthday luau that is possibly a bigger event than a child's birth! Food, drink, relatives. Roo kind of got shafted with her first birthday because we moved into our house the same week, so it was very small and intimate. Perhaps I will let her play party planner for her baby brother to make it up to her… as long as she steers clear of a pink and purple princess theme…
