Ultimate Blog Party 2010

Ultimate Blog Party 2010

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by… as in real life, I have a zillion things going on and haven't managed to get things quite ready for visitors. Please don't mind the mess! (The only reason I was listed under Not-so-family-friendly blogs, by the way, is because I occasionally review adult toys. And in real life I have a bit of a pottymouth. And because there were fewer listings there, so I thought I might get more curious visitors…)

I've been blogging for about three years, since I was pregnant with my second child. I am married to an artist and we live in the middle of Kansas with six cats and a basset hound puppy. We have two kids who are pretty much the centers of our universe.

Roo is six and in kindergarten. She alternates between being a girlie-girl and digging around in dirt for worms and other creepy crawlies.

Jasper is two and obsessed with robots and Star Wars. He also possesses the cat-like grace of Bruce Lee and will most likely be a ninja when he grows up.

The Ultimate Blog Party was one of the first online "carnivals" I participated in, hopping from blog to blog and "meeting" other bloggers. I'll admit it, initially I was lured in by the prizes but I found a ton of blogs that were really funny and insightful, too. Over the past couple of years, I have been lucky enough to make wonderful friends through my blog and even meet many of them in person. We've hung out at conferences and other blogger events and I can honestly say that everyone has been just as cool in person as I expected from their online personas. Thank goodness! It would not be an exaggeration to say that this community is both vast and welcoming… if you ever have questions about parenting or recipes or computers, there is always someone who will help you out.

If you have the time on your party-hopping dance card, check out my current giveaways. I usually have a couple going on, so please stop back after the party's over, too…

Click the button at the top to go to the main UBP hub and find a million other blogs to visit! Did I mention there were prizes? The one I am crossing my fingers for is USC 17, the Apple GC from CmomGo although who wouldn't want the Grand Prize, a Toshiba Laptop!

  4. Nice to meet you! Oops, I guess we've met before, haha.

Ok, it's just me being stupid as usual. I hope you tell these fine folks visiting where the heck you got your blog title from! It took me a long time to find out.

    Have fun!

  6. My sons are both so obsessed with Star Wars. It starts when they're little and it just never goes away. How awesome that you're husband is an artist. My dad is as well and I always wished I'd inherited some talent. :) Hope you're having a great weekend with the UBP!
