A Good Egg (Press)

Egg Press is an independent Portland, Oregon printshop known for their swanky letterpress and offset printed cards. Their designs are beautiful and often hilarious with a knack for color and a retro sensibility. The cards feature stunning pattern work and die cuts. This one, the Climbing Bud, has a look that manages to be both mid-century and totally contemporary at the same time:

And who wouldn't want to receive this lovely matryoshka thank you card?

I love the Birthday Die Cut Collection. It would be so handy to keep at the ready. Your friends will think you went shopping just for them…

I'm also a big fan of the Gift Giving Collection, which features letterpressed cards and peel-n-stick gift labels. Fancy and easy!

Egg Press makes more than just stationery items. Their adorable Stitch Kits allow you to create your own critter dolls, featuring cuties Clauss the Raccoon, Perry the Snail and Magnus the Monkey. Simply cut out the hand-screenprinted images, sew together and fill with whatever you want: cotton, rice, beans, flaxseed, whatever. You'll seem like the craftiest mama around! I don't think I could even mess one of these kits up.

Dog lovers will appreciate the Pearl Paper Doll Kit:

I know you were wondering… yes, Egg Press even has a few items just for baby. My favorite is the Sweet Pea tee:

  1. The Egg Press makes very unique and original cards. I like the
one that says You're a Doll. It
is a perfect expression for Thank you.

  2. I received a Sweet Pea onesie as a gift when Annika was born. Couldn't have been cuter on her.

Unfortunately, I think Annika poppped out of it after only 1 or 2wearings, but that's how it goes.
