I think I really like the Kruz the best. We are getting laminate flooring 3 rooms in a couple of weeks so I think this might really be useful in helping keep them swept up. Hopefully, it would work really well on cat hair also because I have 2 cats that shed a lot!
Blogged about you also

Small appliances have come a long way. Dirt Devil's designer series, for example, features incredibly useful vacuum cleaners housed in haute couture plastic fashions by the ubiquitous designer Karim Rashid. (Is there anything this guy doesn't design?!) I never thought I would ever call a hand vac sexy, but you know, never say never…
The KURV, a rechargeable, cordless hand held vacuum cleaner that looks more like a genie's bottle than a functional appliance. It is, indeed, curvy as the name implies but it has a very narrow nozzle that is particularly useful for sucking up little things from nooks and crannies. KURV, like its conical cousin the KONE hand vacuum, is meant to be left out in plain view. They are funky objets d'art and ostensibly having them out makes you more likely to use them, which I found to be true.
Dirt Devil's designer recasting of stick vacuums is the KRUZ. It's a nifty, lightweight solution for homes with hard flooring. It sucks up dirt and the detritus of toddler mealtimes pretty handily from our tile floor with its 12 V motor. And it is awfully sexy for a vacuum cleaner! (Am I blushing?) I have the champagne color and it goes with everything… like Cheerios and cat kibble.
One model that I haven't tried is the brand new broom vac, with the slightly predictable moniker BRUM. It's a 9.6 Volt Rechargeable Broom vac that sucks and sweeps simultaneously. Genius! I am crushing on the Choco-Latte color, although it is available in the sublime champagne, as well. I think this would be especially great for hardwood and also for cat hair on low-pile carpets like our Flor rugs. The swirl motif on the broom head is actually the removable dust tray! Very cool.
To enter and win a KRUZ stick vacuum cleaner (a $100 value), please comment on this post with your favorite item from the Dirt Devil website and how it would make your life easier.
Entries will be accepted through August 6th and I'll pick the winner using Random.org. US/Canada readers are eligible. Only one entry/comment per person, please.
Make sure you leave an email address in your comment or that you have one accessible on your blog so you can be contacted if you win! Or, you may choose to check for your nickname at Prizey.Fetch, a site that compiles winners in one convenient place:

Oh my - I could definitely use the BRUM for our hardwood floors and cat hair. It would make quick clean ups possible!! Please e-mail me at ctcarstens@gmail.com to tell me I have won!!
ReplyDeleteI could really use this!
ReplyDeleteI love the BRUM -- perfect for my tile kitchen floor! Awesome giveaway -- thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite from the site is probably the brum... what a great idea to help get those spots that vacuums just don't get. jeepcutie82 at msn dot com
ReplyDeleteI could use the platinum carpet cleaner. Two girls, one who is potty training and one recently finished means we need some clean floors.
ReplyDeleteI'm a mother of three who has blown through 2 vacuum cleaners in 6 months. I would LOVE any of their products! Aside from the giveaway item, I could use the Kurv Rechargeable Hand Vac. Great company, great product line, great giveaway. Hope I win!
ReplyDeletegkstratos@yahoo.com
I love the Kruz! With two little boys and three cats, all equally rambunctious, there is no shortage of vacuuming that needs to be done.
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I could justify $70.00 for a broom but the BRUM (Spice) is really cute!!
ReplyDeleteI love the BRUM!! It would help so much on our first level!
ReplyDeleteThe hand vac detailer. I would buy it for m husband and finally have crumb-free cars. For awhile...
ReplyDeletehetz-junk(at)hotmail(dot)com
A handheld or lightweight vacuum would be extremely useful. Right now I have only two extremes - my big giant old vacuum or my broom. Something in between for medium sized jobs would be great.
ReplyDeleteurchiken AT gmail
My current upright vacuum does not suck. Which means that it does. You know?
ReplyDeleteI'd take any of their uprights that lightweight. According to the site, that still leaves me with a lot of choices.
But I'd take the handvac, too!
Hardwoods? check!
ReplyDeleteCat hair? check!
Low-pile carpet? Check!
Sounds like the BRUM would work for me!
OMG! I am desprate for a vacuum with wheels that stay on. Yes, my current vacuum is driving me crazy because the wheel keep falling off and the worst part is it is only a little over a year! UGH!!
ReplyDeleteThe Kone - it would be handy, cordless, and good looking!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a spot scrubber. I just said today, why does my son have to pee immediately after the diaper comes off.
ReplyDeleteThe MCE7300 - Easy Steamer with Tools would make my life easier for sure!
ReplyDeletetvollowitz at aol dot com
I love the BRUM. It would definitely help clean ups with my 14 month old who loves to toss food into hard to reach places.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway :)
the_angel_forever at yahoo dot com
I didn't know the Brum existed! I could definitly use that between my 16 month old and the cats. The stick vacs look great too.
ReplyDeletei could use the M130000 - i upright--lightweight, bagless, and good for allergens/HEPA filter. My current refurbished beast of a vacuum is heavy, too many tubes and cords, and it's just a pain in the butt to use. if i have to vacuum, i need it to be easy on my and easy to use.
ReplyDeleteThe handheld wet/dry vacuum would really come in handy. I didn't realize there were so many modern vacuum designs these days! Thanks for the giveaway! afdr3d@umkc.edu
ReplyDeleteI would love the Kruz- I live in a prewar building and have a cat, so have to clean dust bunnies and hair balls daily... this sleek and handy stick vac would be the perfect tool to keep my home tidy!
ReplyDeleteGotta go with the BRUM. Looks so cool!
ReplyDeleteI love that their website lets you search by your needs. Any of the vaccuums for pet hair would be right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteThe BRUM looks really cool, but I think I'd have to wait for it to go on sale.
ReplyDeleteThis Vibe Scorpion Cordless Hand Vac will come very handy. I am very clean that I like to clean even the smallest of spaces so this is perfect for me.
ReplyDeletemlcmateo@yahoo.com
Hi, This is one fabulous giveaway prize contest! I go through sweepers very easily. I am almost obsessive about my floors being speck free. My biggest problem area are the carpeted stairs leading to the second story of our home! I find it difficult to get in the nooks and crevices. I have bad knees and I need a vacuum that works well and quickly. I choose the "Ultra Hand Vac" as my favorite one. It has a built in stretch hose and convenient tool for removing dirt from stairs. Please enter me in your drawing. Many thanks, Cindi
ReplyDeletejchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com
I have been drooling over both the Brum and the Kruz as we have hard wood floors, a dog, and a baby on the way! What great products :)
ReplyDeleteKone makes me happy. Although I could use just about any of their products, I'm thinking the designer series is particularly lovable.
ReplyDeleteOh my...I'm in love w/ the Kurv, but the Brum has to be a close second, I have 2 kids under 5, and a large shedding labador, there's junk all over my pretty hardwood floors!
ReplyDeleteI like the broom vac and the brum in the wine color! Thanks for introducing me to a new product! nw_wife(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI may have to look into that BRUM when I have some extra cash *maybe year 2020* My arthritis makes it very hard for me to bend over to use a dust pan so this is genius! It would really help me and the current state of my floors :) LOL
ReplyDeleteI could really use the pet cleaner or the portable spot cleaner for carpets. My cats are totally trashing my white carpet!
ReplyDeleteThe Broom Vac in seabreeze looks so light weight and easy on the back. It looks like a dream to use in kitchens.I love all their products and I hope to win.
ReplyDeleteI should totally be reviewing the BRUM...it's my namesake!
ReplyDeleteI think I like the KURV better than the KONE...what up with the Germanic spellings? I think my life would be easier with grime free floors that have been Dirt Deviled away. I think my preschooler would beg for his turn as well.
The BRUM is supercool.
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of tile, hardwood, and concrete flooring that we vacuum often, as opposed to sweeping it. I think the Brum would be great.
ReplyDeletemichelle at northofthe49 dot com
I love the brum for my whole house as we have wood floors. With little ones, it is so needed!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
laureljeana@optonline.net
The BRUM sounds awesome! I have 3 cats and a dog -- and ALL tile floors in my house. Needless to say, it is somewhere close to IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean. Regular vacuum cleaners just seem to kick everything right out the back of the vacuum cleaner instead of picking it up!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the KRUZ will work for this problem!!
Thanks!!
I could sure use the Brum. I have a vision problem in my right eye and anything that suck the dirt up as I swept would help me find all the dirt.
ReplyDeleteI have four cats and a hairy dog and I have hair and kitty litter EVERY WHERE! I can't keep up with it some times. There is nothing worst then sitting down to have dinner and seeing the "tumble weeds" (puffs of hair) rolling across the floor (gross... I know).
ReplyDeleteI currently have a regular little pan and broom (how old fashioned!). So ANYTHING that would make my life easier would be great.
I love the Kurv because it looks great for quick clean ups and to get into the corners of the room where the "tumble weeds" hand out the most. I also like the Brum and the other stick/upright vaccuum because I hate bending over all the time and it would be nice to clean standing up for a change.
Thank you for an awesome prize giveaway!

ReplyDeleteLightweight and I love the wet/dry vacuum.
ReplyDeleteWith 4 kids, a cat, and a baby granddaughter, I need all the help I can get! I like the Brum. cdziuba@aol.com
ReplyDeleteThe Brum....how clever!
ReplyDeleteI could really use something like the Quick Power Hand Vac, so I don't have to drag the big old vacuum over the baby gates to clean!
ReplyDeletekhmorgan_00 [at] yahoo [dot] com
Although I'd love the conveniency and compact size of the Power Hand Vac, with a baby on my hip most of the time I think the full length Brum would be fantastic for quick little clean ups. Two dogs and two cats and one baby make for lots of little messes!
ReplyDeletethanks

ReplyDeleteWith two young children, this prize would be a Godsend :) If I had my pick, I'd get the Vibe Deluxe Carpet Shampooer because so often the spills are wet!

ReplyDeletetwo dogs at the back door, I could do use the BRUM (Champagne) for sure!! it is so hard to get under the kitchen table, the broom doesn't work, the vacuum breaks my back, and I don't want another cleaning tool like a swifter! SAVE ME!

The Groom Vac looks great, esp since I'm very preggo now and with all the crumbs that the kiddies leave on the floor....yikes!
ReplyDeleteFav -- the BRUM!!!

Extreme power wet/dry would be great for me! I have a 3 year old and a 9 month old so I need this to clean up lots of crumbs and spills. This is also something I could easily use to clean out the car. I like that one machine can clean up both dry and wet messes.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that the Kruz is my favorite on the site. We have hardwood floors, 3 kids of which the youngest is 1, so we have lots of little food falling of the highchair every day. Winning one of these would be a blessing! Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!

The BRUM is awesome. Its like they read my mind-sweeping and vacuuming at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI like the Kruz, the Flipsick and the Powersick. They are all bagless and lightweight and my immediate world would have a lot less pet hair flying around in it if I knew I could just grab one of these light weight and handy vacs!!
ReplyDeleteThis'd be an awesome prize. It'll be espicially useful for little messes in the kitchen or cleaning up spilt dirt around the house plants.
ReplyDeletethe vibe deluxe carpet shampooer, with 2 dogs,1 cat ,2 kids and a hubby ...somebody is always making a mess ..lol :)
