Dial "C" For Complete

***WINNER PICKED 10/5 WITH RANDOM.ORG***

***CONGRATULATIONS, Margelina!!!***

her comment...
The pear scent remind me of the bath and body works pear scent. My 3 kids learned great hand washing from me, being in healthcare, I wash my hands a zillion times a day. They love the foaming ones because they are more fun. Great giveaway!!

Dial Complete is a foaming handwash that kills more germs than other antibacterial soaps but is mild and gentle enough for kids to use frequently. In fact, it is both antibacterial AND antimicrobial which makes it a good choice for kitchen and bathroom use. My husband liked the look of the plain, clear dispensers of Dial Complete enough to mention it to me and my daughter had to be cautioned not to overuse it because she kept locking herself in the bathroom and having hot tub parties with her dolls and the foamy soap…

There are four fresh fragrances available in Dial Complete, in addition to the Original scent, which reminds me of my ojiisan and obaasan's house for some reason. We tried the Soothing White Tea variety, which has a light, pleasant smell. (Light Citrus, Cool Plum and Fresh Pear are the other fragrances.) Roo LOVES the pump and foaming action as I mentioned before. I like the clean rinse and easy pump, too, but it seems to have a special appeal to kids. Dial Complete has recently launched The Campaign for Clean Hands to teach children the importance of hand hygiene.

The campaign encourages kids to creatively spread the word about cleanliness, which is especially important in school-age kids since flu season is about to hit. The Campaign for Clean Hands site features an old-fashioned arcade-style "germ blaster" video game, printable activities, and a sweepstakes with a great prize. Kids 18 and younger can create a 15-to-30-second long Campaign for Clean Hands video and upload it to YouTube, for the chance to win a trip to Washington, D.C., provided by NWA WorldVacations, and $1,000! All for extolling the virtues of cleanliness– it's a no-brainer!

To enter and win a case of Dial Complete, please comment on this post with your favorite Dial Complete scent and hand hygiene story.

Entries will be accepted through October 3rd and I'll pick the winner using Random.org. US readers are eligible. Only one entry/comment per person, please.

  7. Light Citrus for me. I was recently fingerprinted for a Healthcare position and the officer told me my fingerprints were almost removed by all the handwashing.

  8. Soothing White tea sounds good as I love tea. I was going through cancer treatment and had a cousin with me. We went to lunch and she was eating her french fries with a fork. I asked why and she said she had not had time to wash her hands before lunch. I thought "RIDICULOUS". Here I am battling cancer and she is worried about catching germs walking though a hospital. She hadn't even touched anything

  9. We usually use Cool Plum but I'd love to try the Pear. We fly through soap and let me tell ya foam is the only way to go. I feel they get their lil hands the cleanest with the foam..and its so fun for them. Making hand washing fun...its genius.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The light plum sounds nice. My son who is ten always gets chapped hands every year because they enforce hand washing on him so much. I got him to ease up by explaining the antibacterial properties and now he only does it as needed.

  11. I like the light citrus. My kids still sing the ABC song while they wash their hands.

  12. Now that the weather is starting to turn a little cooler, cold & flu season won't be that far behind. I am VERY susceptible to germs since I am anemic, so I always try to wash my hands as often as possible. This is not only for my benefit, but also to avoid passing any germs on to others! The Soothing White Tea scent sounds wonderful!!

    Thank for a great giveaway!!

  14. the plum or the tea look and sound yummy...most of my kids learned a big hygeine story when they had been somewhere and the person- yes a child came back from the potty and had poop on the side of the hand- that really grossed them out and it has stuck in their heads since and although gross what happened they learned and remember the person with the poop on his hand and wash throughly now- so a less on was learned and they wash before eating, after using the bathroom, before touching food, etc

  31. The fresh pear sounds great! I learned in my public health classes to teach children to sneeze into the crook of their elbow instead of their hands to limit germ spreading--esp if their is not a bathroom nearby to wash hands.

I guess my most interesting handwashing story is teaching my kids to sing Happy Birthday when they wash their hands so they know they've spent enough time scrubbing. It's funny when they do it in restaurants.

My niece used to cry after dinner if someone didn't get to her hands fast enough and clean them. or if they didn't clean them well enough. I am proud to say know she is old enough to wash her own, before and after din-din.

  41. I work at a montessori preschool, and one of the "jobs" the children do is hand washing. This case of dial would be perfect for them to use. I think the fresh pear would be great. The green color, and the great scent would encourage them to wash their hands!

  45. I have only tried the original version. I don't have a soap story, but I have a soapy confession. My children love the foam soap. They happily wash their hands and faces. The 3-y-o will spend an hour playing carwash with his little cars and the foamy soap. I can't use the stuff without squirting my shirt, the counter, the dog, everything except my hands. It just never goes the direction I think it will go. Does it come with directions?

My kids, myself and my husband visit the animals at the animal shelter about twice a month. We're always petting them and holding them and sometimes they are VERY dirty (especially the strays). Our family ALWAYS washes our hands before leaving the shelter and we make sure to wash our hands as soon as we get home too. We don't want to bring any germs home with us, especially with four cats, a dog and a hamster at home.

  69. I like the original the best- I am not a big fan of my bathroom or hands smelling like food. When my now four year old A was 2 he was in the hospital visiting his brother R after surgery. A dr. came in the room, did a quick rinse and started walking towards R. A quickly ran to the dr. and said- you can't touch my brother, you have to wash better and then continued to show him the proper way to wash.

  72. The pear one smells delicious! The other day, my son told his teacher that he patted his belly so it would "get all the drips off". The teacher told my husband and he asked my son why he did that. He told him "because then I wouldn't have to wash my hands!" I think he needs this soap as an incentive to become better at handwashing!

  77. I like the light citrus the best. I wonder if it might come in small travel bottles or packets of some sort. I was in China last year and was needing a travel product because not all of the bathrooms have soap. Some of the bathrooms make a person want as much soap and sanitation as can be had.

I don't know if this is a story, more a tip on hand washing. Wash your hands BEFORE and AFTER you use the restroom. Think about where your hands have been and the germs they may have before you go and have to wipe and stuff. It's good to wash before just as much as after!

  129. I haven't tried it but the Fresh Pear sounds very nice. I tried to teach my kids to wash their hands for 30 seconds each time they washed, they always thought that was such a long time.

  130. I think my 3 children would love the Light Citrus scent. I think if they enjoy the smell, it will encourage them to wash their hands more frequently! As far as a hand hygiene story, I have 2 boys and a girl. My daughter never gives me any trouble when I ask her to wash her hands, and she actually enjoys washing them. But my sons are the exact opposite. The more I ask them to wash their hands, the more resistance they give me in doing it. So, I have in the past resorted to bribery in order to get them to listen. Usually it is when they return home from school that I get the most objection to washing their hands and I usually tell them they can play their video games for 1/2 hour before doing their homework if they will do what I ask. That usually does the trick, and between you and me, I was going to let them play their video games anyways because they need some down time between getting home from school and when they start their homework so I am really only fooling them!

  131. Soothing White Tea is my favorite Dial Soap. My ninety year old father has to be reminded to wash his hands (almost like a child) – However, he loves to use Dial liquid soap; so that makes the reminder easier.

  132. I'd like to try the Light Citrus. My kids love Dial Complete because it's foamy. They wash their hands (and sometimes the bathroom) often because it's fun to play with.

  133. I think Fresh Pear sounds nice.

When washing your hands in a public restroom, use the paper towel to open the door!

  135. I like the pear fragrance. I have that one in one of the bathrooms and I have the basic original one in the other one and the kitchen. My kids learned to sing the happy birthday song when they washed to make sure they washed long enough!

  136. Love the White Tea scent. When my nephew was a toddler, I caught him searching for nose goblins. I told him to go wash his hands. I explained about germs, etc and concluded that he wouldn't want to eat with unwashed hands, especially if they had been up his nose. Being the wise little one, he earnestly spoke up and advised: "It's ok, Auntie, this is my picking hand (waves right hand)--this is my eating hand (waves left hand)".

  137. Soothing White Tea sounds lovely. don't really have a handwashing story, but we're doing even more of it house training a 10 wk old malamute/husky mix, lol.

  138. I would love to try the cool plum too. I have too many kids in my house, and most of them are not mine. We love to pass germs around this house, and nobody is safe from the latest germ going around. It would be great to not have to worry about passing germs around everyday and then the kids could learn to share their toys instead of a new virus. Haha

  139. Cool plum sounds like it would be good. I really don't have a story, but I have a comment to a previous poster that mentioned doing even more handwashing because of a puppy. Well, we are doing the same thing in our house except ours is with a little black pug.

  145. I always encourage my children to wash their hands now my daughter is always washing her hands, in fact she washes so much that her hands need the new dial complete to help keep her hands germ free and soft. The cool plum scent would be a nice reminder that your hands are clean. I have taught my children to use elbows on doors if possible instead of using their just washed hands. Use foot to flush public restroom toliets. Also use wrist to pull down paper towel machines in restrooms.
Thank you for a chance to win a clean healthy soap product for my family.

  146. I would choose the light citrus scent. A hygiene story I have is several years ago during a wedding reception dinner. Everyone sat down and the caterers were getting ready to serve an elegant meal. My nephew, who was 4-years old at the time, loudly announced "Dinner is here and I don't think anybody here washed their hands!" Everyone burst out laughing. It was great!

  151. The Cool Plum sounds like it smells yummy. It's a chore to remind my daughter ALL THE TIME to wash her hands (whether it be before eating, after eating, after playing outside...etc...) - but I keep reminding myself it will become a habit eventually....

  153. Fresh Pear sounds wonderful. Now if only I could get my kids to no leave a huge trail of water all over the sink after using it :)

  154. Love the Fresh Pear scent. With four little ones who come over at least two to three times per week hand washing is a must in my house. They have a little stool beside the sink that helps them reach the faucet and they love to wash their hands especially when I have a new soap or scent. Now if I could just get them to shut the door everytime they go into the backyard we would be doing great!

    Thanks for the contest.

  155. The light citrus! My kids are very picky about dirty hands and really hate to get sick cause then they have to stay home with me. They really love school. They are constantly asking me to buy them different scented soaps to try out and love to make sure their hands are squeaky clean! Thanks for the contest!

  161. My favorite Dial scent would be citrus. I am adamant about hand washing.I do it several times a day. Always after handling money, shopping, using the bathroom, shaking hands, etc. I may sound like a bit of a neat freak but I can tell you that my incidence of contracting colds and viruses is way down since I started doing this. Thanks for the shot at a case!

  166. Please count me in...

My girls will sit in the bathroom (OCD) and wash their hands before brushing their teeth. when they're done they'll wash their hands and then go to the restroom only to wash their hands yet again. This sometimes goes on for an hour or two...I can't really complain because I want them to be fond of keeping up with their own personal hygine, BUT...we use so much soap and toothpaste and toilet tissue every week...LOL...I'm serious though.

This would be a sensational win for me and my girls!!!!

I grew up with a OCD father who had us wash our hands constantly. I've been called Lady MacBeth at times!

  171. We like the cool plum scent. Unfortunately some of the ladies in our workplace don't always wash their hands. We are constantly wiping down handles and door knobs. With a nice scent perhaps we can convince everyone to wash up.

  172. Oooo, Fresh Pear sounds lovely.

We experimented once with hand washing. We noticed that our sniffles reduced when we washed our hands on a regular basis vs just at certain necessary times.
