Rock On, Roo!

We won a Hello Kitty MP3 player from Amanda (thank you!) a while ago but I held off on giving it to Roo until her birthday. Do you think she likes it?!

In case you're curious, she's bopping around to the insidiously catchy strains of Robbert Bobbert and the Bubble Machine, a new kid-centric album by Robert Scheider, of The Apples in Stereo. I love this release, it's like effervescent bubblegum made for the spawn of the indie rock generation: kid music that doesn't dumb you down or put you to sleep. Roo thinks Hey Little Puppy is the BEST. SONG. EVER. And is totally excited that she can now play it over and over again, thanks to the wonders of digital technology. Bleeping, blooping, Brian Wilson-loving music that Apples in Stereo lovers will obviously love but I think most other folks will find it charming, too. Aside from the reviewer on Amazon who said it was "nothing like what my kids liked listening to." I think his kids must suck. Sorry to be a music snob, but c'mon… what's not to like?!

  2. Oh my goodness. You are in serious trouble. Did you see how she tilts her little head and coos? I could swear she was batting her eyes.

I think that Amazon man's kids must suck also. Roo has excellent taste in music (as well as everything else.)

  3. We have that CD too; I think it is awesome!
I laughed at that Amazon review when I read it a couple of weeks ago. What is that guy's problem? Why does all of the music his kids listen to have to sound the same?
