***CONGRATULATIONS, #22 Madonna!!!***
her comment...
Motherhood to me is a full time committment. My most important goal as a parent was that no matter what happened my children would never doubt I loved them.
I love Uma Thurman. I love her even more when she's a schlumpy mess and you can look past her Amazonian beauty and see how totally hilarious she is. Last year's comedy release Motherhood (available today on DVD!) gives Uma a great chance to shine as one of us– a writer turned stay-at-home-mommy blogger. It's especially appropriate to me since the premise involves throwing a birthday party for a soon-to-be six year old girl while wrangling a toddler boy and attempting to maintain sanity while writing 500 words on “What Does Motherhood Mean to Me?”. This character could be me, although I am lucky enough to live in Wichita, where parking spaces are more plentiful than in NYC. And, obviously, I don't look like Uma. Sigh.

Oh, I've been meaning to see this! Maybe I can learn some tips on balance.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how the movie was. It seems like it would be lighthearted, and I do like Uma Thurman. Her father is a well-known Eastern Religions/Buddhism scholar (Robert Thurman).
ReplyDeleteTo me motherhood means a lot of hard work, but well worth it when you hear the words I LOVE YOU or I NEED YOU!
ReplyDeleteMotherhood means always having people you love around, sometimes even when you wish they weren't!

The movie looks funny! Motherhood is my life right now...hard to remember what was meaningful before kids. My days revolve around my kids, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Motherhood to me means so many things! But if I had to choose just one word I guess it would be 'enlightenment'.

Motherhood means complete happiness. I never knew how amazing having a child was until I had one and immediately realized how much it changes your life for the better.
ReplyDeleteMotherhood to me is tears, smiles, laughes, and pulling out my hair, and learning to appreciate all of the feelings thanks for the chance to win eaglesforjack@gmail.com
