How to Wear It: Little Black Dress

I've been lusting after a certain little black dress for a while now. The Ella Rae Long Sleeve Dress is the perfect combination of sexy and cool, with the suck-it-in power that Yummie Tummie is known for. It's tight but not too-tight, sleek without being vulgar, warm without being bulky. I love it! Plus it can go from day to night in a flash.

I just received my Ella Rae Long Sleeve Dress so I haven't had a chance to photograph myself modeling it in different scenic locales. (Consider yourselves lucky.) Fortunately, I spend way too much time window shopping online and creating idea boards. Here are a couple of ways I would like to wear the Ella Rae Long Sleeve Dress, if money were no object.

First up, here's my Ella Rae look for daytime. Perfect for a creative office or urban exploration. I think the dress is particularly fetching with big, stompy boots.

Rainyday Jacket-WE280-Coats at Boden, $138
HUE Printed Plaid Tight, $17
Sperry Top-Sider Women's Northstar Boot, $180
Ella Rae Long Sleeve Dress, $228
Amy Mueller Exclusive "Grass" Circle Ring - Shop - Walker Art Center, $42
Ex Ovo African Necklace - Walker Art Center, $288

My second Ella Rae look is more sophisticated but still plays up the funkiness of the dress. I see this as a fun look for an art opening or a special dinner. And most of the pieces are definitely, uh, aspirational. (I can't really imagine buying $2000 gloves, even if I could afford to!)

Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Printed faux-fur coat, $545
ARIADNA t-strap heels by Camper, $160
Philippe Audibert Mini Mick silver-plated cuff, $1,060
Vionnet Leather self-tie belt, $520
Paige Gamble — Natural Python and Tan Crocodile Gardenias, $450
MoMA Store - Crystal Encrusted Gunmetal Small Blue Hydro Quartz..., $195
Ella Rae Long Sleeve Dress, $228
Wolford Gisella Tights, , $170
Hotcakes Design - Dark Red Carved Resin Round Tree Necklace, $108
