her comment... The bamboobaby panda is so cute!
A while back, Jasper had the good fortune of receiving an outfit from Bamboosa in their stunning Tahitian Blue color. Here's a picture of him in the pants and hat but with a coordinating brown tee. (He was a little too Smurfy in the complete ensemble all at once!):
I couldn't get over how soft the fabric was. Even softer than brushed cotton. Pretty comparable to stretchy silk jersey. But it's made from BAMBOO. Like the stuff panda bears eat. The stuff we have installed as our flooring. The stuff that is a renewable resource that also helps to offset carbon emissions. As green and eco-friendly as this wonder fabric might seem to be, it is also unbelievably luxurious. Amazingly, fabric made from bamboo is also naturally antibacterial, thermal regulating, anti-fungal, anti-static and possesses intrinsic SPF 15 protection! And did I mention how soft it is? Obviously, I had to try something from Bamboosa myself!
My choice was the 100% Bamboo Fine Jersey Sleep Slip. Since I am one of the sweatiest people on earth when I sleep, especially since Jasper (a.k.a. kotatsu) demands to sleep with me, I thought this would be a good garment to put to the thermal regulating/odor preventing test. It passed with flying colors. Not only is this the most comfortable nightgown I have ever owned, it is also pretty adorable. I got the black one and wouldn't even be embarrassed to get the paper in it. I liked it so much that I ordered a couple for my mom's birthday and she's the real hard sell. Surprise, she likes them, too! I would love to have one of these in every color. Seriously, they are that great. And so popular that apparently Bamboosa has a hard time keeping them in stock!
I ordered some Bamboosa socks for Bob since he has some issues with sweat and stink down there, which he will probably deny. He likened their cushiness to hiking socks like Smartwool, which apparently is a big compliment. The next items on my wishlist (aside from a zillion of those fantastic nightgowns) are the Bamboo Long Sleeve Hoodie and a couple of the gorgeous Bamboo Fine Jersey Scarves. If I could oust Jasper from my bed into his own crib again, the BambooBaby Crib Sheets look great and I would love to get a couple of the BambooBaby Hooded Towels since the poor boy is always using his big sister's hand-me-down pink scratchy baby towels. I also wish Bamboosa would make a nightgown in girls' sizes for Roo, who would adore them. And possibly a slightly heavier weight jersey dress so I could basically live in the nightgown…
