End Diaper Rash Now!

Roo never had a problem with diaper rash. In fact, we still have the lone tube of Balmex I bought when she was born. And she's four and a half. Jasper, on the other hand, is prone to rashes. He's a lot sweatier than his sister, which adds into that. When I asked the pediatrician about this, in case he had a hormonal imbalance or something, they looked at me askance and noted that Jasper is "a bit chubbier than his sister, so he has more folds to get sweaty." True enough. Simply adding baby powder (which I'd never used on Roo) to our diaper ritual was enough to get his rash under control.

Some kids aren't so lucky. Their rashes are more than just a minor irritation. Simple diaper rash can sometimes give way to a yeast infection that is much more painful and harder to treat. For this type of diaper rash, there is Vusion. This prescription-strength ointment has been FDA approved to treat severe diaper rash and is safe to use on babies as young as 4 weeks.

Ask your doctor about Vusion if your baby is experiencing some of these symptoms of severe diaper rash:

Rash is a beefy, red color
Irritation lasts 48 to 72 hours
The area may be swollen
Bumpy skin
Pimples or pustules
Smaller rashes in the area of a large rash
The baby tries to scratch the area when you remove the diaper

Thanks to Mom Central for spreading the word about Vusion to concerned parents.

  1. Boudreaux's Butt Paste seems to be the best diaper rash.
