Be Part of the Cupcake Cure

Electrolux and their celebrity spokesmom, Kelly Ripa, are asking you to celebrate Valentine's Day with cupcakes this year. All month long, you can create personalized virtual cupcakes on the Electrolux "Kelly Confidential" mini-site and send them to your friends and family. Electrolux will donate $1 for each virtual cupcake sent to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) as part of their half million dollar commitment to help support the search for a cure.

As an extra incentive, everyone who logs on and sends a virtual cupcake will be entered for a chance to win the newest front-load Washer & Dryer (an estimated $3,600 value) from Electrolux, the appliance brand used throughout fine homes in Europe for 80 years. (This might make me sound old, but I actually dream about having a beautiful front-loader set in my laundry room. The silver ones, I think. These are luxe, my friends.)

Kelly Ripa also designed the limited edition "Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve" T-shirt (seen on Kelly in the first photo above) available at the Electrolux Kelly Confidential mini-site, with all proceeds going directly to the OCRF. It would make a nice Valentine's Day gift for friends or family… or yourself!

If you've got deep pockets or know a big spender who might want to help, Electrolux is auctioning off a one-of-a-kind red kitchen suite on eBay. The bidding on the “Red Hot Red” kitchen – which includes a built-in range, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave – starts Wednesday, February 11th at 3 p.m. EST and lasts until 3 p.m. EST on Wednesday, February 18th. All proceeds of the charity auction benefit the OCRF. So you can feel good about wanting to completely redecorate your kitchen…

  2. That sounds great, and an easy way to help. And I think Kelly Ripa is precious.

P.S. Dreaming of a gorgeous washer and dryer doesn't make you sound old at all.

  4. I love the blue machines! But my Electrolux range electrocuted me and burnt me! They didn't even bother to return my calls and emails. We bought a new stove/range, but it wasn't Electrolux :)
