Fall Footwear Fetish: Fortress of Inca

Fall is my favorite season. I love being able to wear layers and tights and boots again! Austin-based footwear purveyor Fortress of Inca is introducing some new styles that are are bound to be go-to pieces, perfect for dressing up or down, all handmade by artisans in Peru.

The Lulu Dahlia Savannah platform boots above are a great example of Fortress of Inca's bohemian spirit. FOI's Fall collection deftly mixes contemporary styles with their signature Peruvian textiles.

Looking for something a little more classic? Try the gorgeous Siena Grace boots. They're available in a brown colorway, too, but I love the not-so-basic black.

I love me some tall boots but booties seem to be all the rage for Fall 2013. Fortress of Inca has some new bootie styles coming soon and Superdumb Supervillain has an exclusive sneak peek! These are not on the website yet, so be sure to like Fortress of Inca on Facebook to find out when they'll be available!

I'm personally dying over the slip-on cowboy booties but Roo likes the lace-ups best. The hush puppy-esque moccasins have a sneaky platform wedge- how cool is that? (Answer- very, when you're 5'2"!)

Which are your favorites? How would you wear them?

In accordance to the FTC Guidelines and the WOMMA Code of Ethics, I am disclosing that I have received product samples from Fortress of Inca in the past and sincerely hope they send me some of these shoes to test out. No compensation was provided. All opinions are, as usual, entirely my own.
