Disney Villains as The Reprehensibles

"Never send a hero to do a villain's job." That's the motto that Disney villainesses would live by if they decided to form an elite alliance, like the characters in The Expendables! Of course in this instance there would be crimes committed rather than solved, but isn't it more fun to be bad every so often? In a mash-up we have dubbed "The Reprehensibles," 5 of the most notorious Disney baddies have been given their own Expendables style movie poster!

Maleficent has her own movie premiering this Friday, so she insisted on being in the middle. We thought it wise not to argue with Maleficent.

1. MALEFICENT

Maleficent is the self-proclaimed mistress of all evil. With that attitude and those horns, that sounds about right.

2. CRUELLA DE VIL

Few could stand a chance against a woman that delights in causing the untimely demise of puppies.

3. THE EVIL QUEEN

Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who is the baddest of them all?

4. THE QUEEN OF HEARTS

She that liveth by the creed, "off with their heads," pulleth no punches.

5. URSULA 

We pity any poor, unfortunate soul that tangles with this famous sea witch.

Worst week, ever.

First the digital camera was stolen. Then Godzilla was killed. Then my hard drive conked out all of a sudden. I am typing this at my local library while Jasper is sleeping in his infant carrier. I have no idea when the computer will be fixed and whether or not my files will be recoverable. Grrr. (I am now REALLY hoping I win that DevDad iMac...)

Anyway, contests will remain open until I get decent access to a computer. Which may not be until my birthday (11/03) if I can justify buying a new one. Thanks for your patience, everyone.

Bad guys

Roo stayed with Grandma while I made a grocery run today and when I got back, she was totally inconsolable. Turns out she and her five year old cousin asked what the newspaper story about the cute little blonde girl was and my mom actually told them. Now, ordinarily, when Roo asks about something I will tell her in as much detail as I can. But my aunt and I were a bit aghast at my mother's honesty in this situation– she told them all about how four year old Madeleine McCann was abducted from a hotel room while she slept and her parents were out having dinner. Roo was sobbing, telling me about the little girl and the hotel and the bad guy stole her and now she's kidnapped... my imaginative three year old now knows what kidnapping is. Thanks, mom.
